Rodney King (Memba’ him?) To Marry Juror From Police Beating Trial
Talk about all’s well that ends well: Rodney King, the brotha who’s brutal beat down by several white LAPD cops sparked off the LA riots in 1992, is engaged to one of the jurors who helped deliberate the $3.8 mil in damages King was awarded in his civil suit against the city of Los Angeles.
King and Cynthia Kelly said they first felt a romantic spark when they met in a Newport Beach pizzeria the day after that 1994 jury award, says NBC News.
Kelly told RadarOnline.com that the other jurors didn’t want to give King any money, and she pushed for millions.
King now lives in a modest home in Rialto, and calls Kelley a Godsend, and a blessing in his life. Check out this video:
