Powerful Re-enactment of Gay Bashing By FiveBlackGuys

This is very moving. During the same week that several gay teens were violently attacked and killed across the country, popular YouTube and Twitter personalities ShawnQT and FiveBlackGuys re-enact these disturbingly all-too-common attacks. It’s a short video but packs plenty of punch. A montage of familiar scenes from the Civil Rights Movement brings the message home. Rihanna’s “Russian Roulette” accompanies the video, a good selection for its theme and also to helps to attract younger viewers.
One young gay man responds: “This vid was sad and heartbreaking but its the truth…its sad that we as gay people have to experience such hate just for being true to ourself… a couple of weeks ago i was threathen by some guys i didnt even know they called me faggot they said to me get off this street before they kick my ass u faggot….i was just walking to the store minding my own bussiness they had so much hate in their eyes that it actually scared me thank God i? wasnt attacked.”
Thankfully he wasn’t hurt. Many others are not so lucky.
ShawnQT and FiveBlackGuys are just several examples of young black gay men using new media and social networking platforms to fill the void left by traditional media. I like what they’re doing. Via Darian Aaron: Watch the video WHEN YOU JUMP.

I watched this video, did not like it and think it’s very dangerous and deceiving. Most of the murders – including recently of 15 year old Jason Mattison in Baltimore – were committed by other Black homosexual people or no one knows what the sexuality of the culprit was. Even in the now famous [White] Matthew Shepard case, it has yet to be stated that Shepard was a drug dealer/user and his death was drug related, and the guy that killed him was once a sex and drug partner of Shepard’s. A hate crime is when someone is criminally victimized by someone not of their group, who is oppressing them. Neither this nor Jason Mattison’s murder classic hate crimes.
Another problem I have with this White gay paradigmatic agenda in Black face is the clear evidence of its Black cultural irrelevance: use of the word “Queer.” By and large, Black people may say faggot, punk or bitch to attack a homosexual. But NOT queer. Lastly, this is fiction, not a reenactment, accept that it does reenact just how brainwashed same-gender-loving (SGL) Blacks have been by White gay propaganda and agendas. This likely well intended video, overall, is manipulative, and as a result, is more of a problem than a solution for Black people. If we want to change anti-homosexual attitudes in Black communities we can’t use deception. When is someone going to make a video on self-hate crimes in this community?
