MLK’s Niece Alveda King Speaks At Glenn Beck Rally
On the 47th anniversary of her uncle’s historic “I Have a Dream” speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial Alveda King joined Glenn Beck at the same spot to bring people together in paying tribute to America’s soldiers and “restoring honor” to America. History will judge this event.It might leave prints or not in the hearts of those who witnessed it. The guests rally for Glenn Beck at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington through the weekend are disputed. Beck claims that around 500,000 of his loyal enthusiasts arrived to pay homage. One million is the total touted by some Republican politicians. Whether or not an event is deemed significant in the media often is dependent upon how many individuals show up. Supporters exaggerate the totals while detractors scoff at their naive optimism. However, nobody will really know without a doubt how many Beck worshipers were called forth to cynically exploit the anniversary of Martin Luther Kings I have a dream speech at the hallowed site where he gave the address.
