Hoops & YoYo About To Catch “Black Hoe” Hell With Racist Hallmark Graduation Card
Community activist Jasmyne Cannick just sent out a press release on the behalf of RESPECT ME Coalition, a collaborative movement aiming to represent the interests of Black women. The group demands an apology for a talking Hoops & Yo Yo graduation greeting that says “black hos” in a dialogue between the animated characters in the card. Check this out:
We’re not even going to launch a diatribe on racism with this one. It’s pretty obvious wouldn’t you say?
The Los Angeles NAACP discovered these cards at a Walgreen and a CVS in the Los Angeles area, and has been informed that the cards have also been sold in the Chicago area. Requests were made to Hallmark, CVS and Walgreen to pull the cards from store shelves. Walgreen stores have pulled the cards from its shelves.
On Thursday (June 4th) at 11:00 am, the local chapter of the RESPECT ME Coalition will hold a press conference to announce their demand that Hallmark publicly apologizes to Black women for this card. The press conference will be held at the Los Angeles Sentinel newspaper offices located at 3800 South Crenshaw Boulevard, between Coliseum and Rodeo.
The Respect Coalition has taken on major corporations and entertainment outlets in the past most notably their 2007 march on Interscope Records in protest of rap lyrics found on many of the label’s hip hop releases which promoted violence and disrespect against black women.

Did Hallmark actually think they would get away with that? Idiots.

Please tell me you're not serious. You have to be half deaf, or half stupid, to hear anything but BLACK HOLES. For crying out loud people. There's enough horrible racism in this world to take one, to not have to make things up.

It says Black Hole, as in the Solar System. Not Black Hoe! You’re making a mountain out of a molehill. If you ever want equality in this world, quit playing the race card about things that have nothing to do with race! this is why so many Caucasions look down upon your race, because of these types of ridiculous claims.

I love how blacks are all concerned about some non-existent verbiage that they claim says Black Ho's, yet their gangsta rap is nothing but degrading to black women. Talk about racists! Whites don't have to embarrass or degrade you, you all do it to yourselves!

"The group demands an apology for a talking Hoops & Yo Yo graduation greeting that says 'black hos'…"
No, it doesn't. That's only what you hear. There's a difference.
"We’re not even going to launch a diatribe on racism with this one. It’s pretty obvious wouldn’t you say? "
It's obvious that you're all hearing only what you want to hear. And that you're being delusional.
"… the local chapter of the RESPECT ME Coalition will hold a press conference to announce their demand that Hallmark publicly apologizes to Black women for this card."
This is grandstanding on your part, and highly unfair to Hallmark, who did nothing wrong.

"The Respect Coalition has taken on major corporations and entertainment outlets in the past most notably their 2007 march on Interscope Records in protest of rap lyrics found on many of the label’s hip hop releases which promoted violence and disrespect against black women."
Now for THAT, I commend you. That's what you should be rallying against! Protesting a talking card that absolutely says "hole'… makes you a laughing stock. Sorry.

Are you f''ing serious, black ebonics made the word black ho's, so because these black women are so inundated with being called black ho's by fathers, brothers, rapper's, that they start hearing it everywhere, even in places where it's not there. If they had went to school past baby making age they might have learned that black holes are singularities throughout the universe, and even though a black hole may be close in definition with a black ho, as everything that gets sucked into a black hole never returns, just like anything stuck in a black ho never returns, the card was not saying black ho's.

Ya, this is defintly too much…the card says "Holes" not "Hoes"…..this is just a way for this activist group to get its name in the paper, they are willing to ruin a good card for there own selfish purpose…..

Are you kidding? It's talking about the solar system.. Black HoLes.. I can plain as day hear an L. RESPECT ME Coalition? I just lost all respect for them and anyone that repeats this garbage for trying to make something out of nothing. THEY should be apologizing to Hallmark for trying to slander their name. But, hey, if you have to start creating your own racist situations then I guess that means the rest of the world is moving on.. Maybe it's time for you guys to do so as well.

LMAO I have never seen a more ignorant post. Go to school. Read a book. I guess Einstein and Hawkins are racist because their theories and studies would involve black holes? MORON. If you even bothered to Google search it you would have learned from wikipedia:
A black hole, according to the general theory of relativity, is a region of space from which nothing, including light, can escape. It is the result of the deformation of spacetime caused by a very compact mass. Around a black hole there is an undetectable surface which marks the point of no return, called an event horizon. It is called "black" because it absorbs all the light that hits it, reflecting nothing, just like a perfect black body in thermodynamics.[1] Under the theory of quantum mechanics, black holes possess a temperature and emit Hawking radiation, but for black holes of stellar mass or larger this temperature is much lower than that of the cosmic background radiation.
Despite its invisible interior, a black hole can be observed through its interaction with other matter. A black hole can be inferred by tracking the movement of a group of stars that orbit a region in space. Alternatively, when gas falls into a stellar black hole from a companion star, the gas spirals inward, heating to very high temperatures and emitting large amounts of radiation that can be detected from earthbound and Earth-orbiting telescopes.
Prove you are not stupid and publicly apologize to hallmark and the rest of this nation for your horrible mistake.

I can't believe that anyone would be upset over this. Is everyone bored? Is there nothing else in the world to be upset about? THEY SAY BLACK HOLES you morons.
